Extreme Namibia 12 Night Tour
Day 1: Windhoek
On arrival guests will be welcomed by the Tour Guide and tour will start continuing east of Namibia towards Gobabis, our accommodation for the next 3 nights.
Day 2: Harnas Wildlife Foundation
We are booked for the morning feeding tour, and after lunch we will again go on another with the ‘Cheetah’ as we spend a couple of hours with this beautiful animal. Just before Dinner the local guide will take us to hear a lion roar.
Day 3: Harnas Wildlife Foundation
We will join the volunteers on an amazing baboon walk for 2 hours and an interaction with the little baboons in the enclosure.
Day 4: Kalahari Namibia
The journey starts travelling southwards to the Kalahari Desert. On our arrival we will start a Horse Back Safari on the dunes with a well experienced guide on the range and after dinner; star viewing. View the spectacular Southern Hemisphere Sky from the Bagatelle Observatory using a state-of-the-art computerised telescope. Planets, brilliant star clusters, galaxies and the Moon will be revealed to you by the Resident Astronomer.
Day 5: Fish River Canyon
The next morning before we leave, we join the bushman (San) on a Bushman walk to their village for an hour and a half. A relaxing walk with the Bushmen (San) to their demonstrational village, sharing with you their ancient survival skills as well as secrets inherited from their forefathers. On arrival at the traditional Bushman village, you will meet a family who will show the way they used to store water in ostrich eggs, plants for medicinal use, setting up traps, the making of ostrich and bead jewellery, etc. This is really an unforgettable experience. We will be continuing our journey about 2 more hours further towards Keetmanshoop to see the Quiver forest and also the Giants playground. Our destination will bring us to the second largest canyon known as the Fish river canyon.
Day 6: Naukluft Park
We leave the accommodation a little bit early and proceed to the Canyon for a morning hike and visit the various viewpoints. After several hours of hiking we then proceed back towards the camp and continue to the Sossusvlei.
Day 7: Naukluft Park
Pre-dawn departure, we travel 60km towards Sossusvlei gates. A climb up the sand dunes will give a superb view up and down of the Tsaucab River Canyon which forms the valley between the famous sand dunes. After breakfast we take a 2 hour walk through to the beautiful Hiddenvlei in the Sossusvlei Area. We return to Sesriem, enjoy lunch as well as a cool down in the swimming pool. Afternoon we explore the Sesriem canyon on foot, returning back to our campsite.
Day 8: Swakopmund
From the South we proceed with our journey West towards the coast. On our arrival to the first coastal town of Walvis Bay we visit the bird paradise (The Lagoon) to observe the Flamingos. We proceed to the German town of Swakopmund.
Day 9: Swakopmund
On this morning after breakfast, your guide will drive you to Walvis Bay for an unforgettable experience on the Sandwich Harbour 4×4 jeep drive. After an exciting morning on the harbour we will head back to Swakopmund.
Day 10: Etosha National Park
We have a busy day ahead, so we leave the coastal town and proceed on the salt roads of Swakopmund and Hentis bay towards the large breeding zone of the seal colony at Cape cross. After this short visit, we then proceed towards a small-town call Uis and have a stopover at the Namibia’s biggest Mountain and continue our journey through Tyfelfontein and join the Damaraliving museum for a cultural break and traditional dances. Then we continue to the National Park of Etosha. On our arrival we will do a half day game drive in the park to see wild animals.
Day 11: Etosha National Park
We will depart quite early with the spirit to see wild animals of the Etosha. After several hours we will head back to the lodge and try again with a half day in the afternoon, just in case we had less luck in the morning.
Day 12: Okutala Etosha Lodge
Welcome to Okutala Etosha Lodge. A private lodge situated on a breath-taking piece of Namibian land, focused on restoring animals within their natural habitat.
Day 13: Departure to Windhoek
